Litha Ritual Bath Salts

The Litha Ritual Bath Salts are used to bring prosperity, joy, and abundance into your life during the Litha season.

Many traditions use ritual baths as part of their celebrations for thousands of years. Ritual baths can be used for a variety of intents such as purification, prosperity, love, abundance, a celebration of sabbats, or many other things. Ritual baths can help you connect your physical and spiritual energies to balance and direct them towards your specific intention.

Each packet of bath salts contains 8 oz of the bath salt blend. I usually use about 2 tablespoons per bath, but you can use as much or as little as you desire.

Directions: Add your desired amount to warm bath water (as I said above, this can be as much as the whole bag or as little as a few tablespoons). You will not need to boil the salts before using them. I have included an organza bag to add the salts to if you are concerned about the botanicals clogging your plumbing system. The salts will dissolve while the larger botanical pieces remain in the bag for easy clean-up. You can also use a grease splatter screen (found at Dollar Tree for $1.25) to easily skim out the botanicals.

If you do not have a bathtub, you can put the salts in the bag and hang them from your showerhead. The salts will dissolve and wash out over your body.

As with any ritual, you may want to recite incantations or meditate upon your specific intentions. You can also, of course, add specific crystals, botanicals, or additional oils for your personal preferences. The Litha bath salts were designed to promote peace and harmony in your life. The scent of the flowers along with a touch of green apple will take your mind to a beautiful floral garden full of summer’s bounty.

Ingredient Meanings:
• Dead Sea Salt and Himalayan Sea Salt helps cleanse, heal and balance energy.
• Epsom Salt promotes relaxation and helps to relieve pain and muscle tension.
• Baking Soda - Since it is alkaline in nature, it balances the pH levels of your skin to make it glow with radiance. It also helps in
exfoliating the dead skin cells to reveal new freshness.
• Calendula flowers – for protection and positive outcomes
• Lavender- to ward off evil spirits, promote long life of peace, and used for purification.
• Lemon Balm - for happiness, and to create a sense of calm and well-being.
• White Oak- The Oak is a symbol of flourishing stability during summer, and the Oak King is in his prime, but must surrender to the Holly King after the solstice. This means a celebration of his life and power is to encourage new life to unfold again next
year.
• Ground Orange Peel- for energy cleansing and happiness
• Strawberry essential oil- to represent the fruits of summer
• Green Apple essential oil - you feel like you are walking through the apple orchard with this ripe green fragrance.
• Floral Essential Oils- to represent the height of the summer blooming season (gardenia, honeysuckle, sweet pea, jasmine).
